We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced senior level accounting professional to become Partner at a rapidly growing accounting firm on Long Island. The ideal candidate should have 15 years or more current or recent CPA experience with a middle market or smaller firm. They must be able to work on-site. 

Key Objectives:

• Act as the highest executive of the accounting firm to direct and determine the final decision on all its projects and activities.

• Establish the firm's policies and procedures, and make sure these practices are carried out in all of the firm's offices.

• Manage the accounting firm's staff, select managers, and evaluate manager's performances.

• Responsible for the financial well-being of the firm and ensure that the offices bring in a profit.

• Oversee the operation of regional offices, coordinate their activities, and monitor their performance.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems.

• A strong commitment to the firm, its vision, and its clients.

• Excellent leadership and management skills.

• Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

• Demonstrates close attention to detail.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills.

• Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities.

• Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.

• Ability to organize and prioritize work.

• Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team.

Experience:

• 15+ years’ experience

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree

License:

• CPA
