Full Charge Bookkeeper
A rapidly growing CPA firm is looking for a qualified and dedicated Bookkeeper on Long Island.
Skills & Job Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Must be proficient with QuickBooks, Excel and reconciliations
Must be able to handle a large volume of client work
Duties include data entry, write-ups, sales tax, payroll tax, special projects
Everything related to a client's monthly bookkeeping and communicating and being very responsive
Complete reconciling bank and other accounts, posting journal entries, running financial reports
Prepare a variety of local tax returns including sales tax
Meet deadlines
Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Qualifications
Proven bookkeeping experience and proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
Solid understanding of bookkeeping and journal entries
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Team player
Strong work ethic with commitment to getting each job completed timely
Solid communicator, both in writing and verbally
BA or BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, or extensive experience in full charge bookkeeping
Requirements
